There are many sporting events to attend while living in Chicago but here are five you simply can’t miss while living in the Windy City. Whether you are a Cubs fanatic or just want to show your support to the Bulls, grab your game tickets and jerseys and make it to either a Cubs game, a Bears game, a Blackhawks match, a White Sox game or a Bulls game.

Chicago Cubs Game

Wrigley Field is the home to the Chicago Cubs, a baseball team that has been playing there for 97 years in a row. You can grab a seat at the Field for $20 to $200. The scoreboard is still hand changed and there is always a breeze from the Lake. Although the Chicago Cubs haven’t won the World Series in 104 years, the game and community makes up for the massive losing streak. The neighborhood surrounding Wrigley Field is called Wrigleyville and you can grab a bite to eat or a drink before entering the stadium.

Chicago Bears Game

Playing at Soldier Field among the skyline of Chicago is the Bears. The Bears are a part of the National Football League and have won a total of nine championships. Soldier Field is extremely large and can hold over 61,000 fans. The field is also the oldest NFL stadium. You can purchase tickets for a Bears game for $19 to $100. The team colors are navy blue, burnt orange, and white. From the stadium you have an excellent view of the city as well as the lake. Parking is really difficult for these games so it’s suggested you take the EL.

The Chicago Blackhawks may be considered one of the most successful sports teams that Chicago has and have won five Stanley Cup Championships. A professional hockey team in Chicago, the Hawks have played at the United Center since 1994 and won the Stanley Cup most recently in 2013. You can try to grab tickets to their home games but they are usually sold out well in advance. Tickets for a game range from $54 to $450.

Chicago White Sox Game

The Chicago White Sox are the lesser known of the two major league baseball teams in Chicago. The Sox play at the U.S. Cellular Field and won the World Series most recently in 2005. Their team colors are black, silver, and white. The field can hold over 40,000 fans and is built along the Dan Ryan Expressway. Many still call the new baseball field by the older field’s name, Comiskey Field,  which was demolished to make room for parking. To purchase tickets to see a game, it’ll cost you $7 to $70 on a Friday night.

Chicago Bulls Game

Also playing at the United Center is the Chicago Bulls. One of the most well known teams in the NBA, the Bulls currently are coached by Tom Thibodeau. Once made popular by Michael Jordan, the team is made up of other iconic members such as Derrick Rose. You can grab tickets for the game from their site and also purchase annual passes. The games are well known for their entertainment and excitement. Some of the performers brought to the stadium along with the games are the Luvabulls, the Chicago Bucket Boys and the Chicago Breakabulls.
