Rejecting snobbery but embracing sophistication, you can come in after watching a broadway performance or after a trip to the gym. Chef Alexander handcrafts unique martinis and mouth watering desserts. With an ever-growing list of signature martinis, you can enjoy a Key Lime Pie or Asian Mint Hibiscus drink. With regards to the Chef, order the Chocolate Passion Fruit or Carrot Cake and you’ll be in heaven. With those in mind that don’t consume alcohol, all martini’s can be made virgin.

A frozen yogurt bar, this dessert shop has well over twenty different flavors of fro yo and has zillions of interesting toppings. The price is based on weight so you can really customize this treat and get as much or as little as you want. Strawberry and simple plain flavors are among the best and the toppings that are the most strange include Nerds candies and Mango Juice Balls. Another exciting thing about Berry Moon is that they let you sample flavors before you commit to an entire bowl. Ask the cashier before filling a bowl to sample some flavors. It’s free to taste!

4. Vosges Haut-Chocolat

Vosages Haut-Chocolat invites you to experience the world in a different way and engage in  storytelling through the medium of chocolate. A luxury chocolate shop set in Lincoln Park, this scrumptious dessert stop offers truffles, caramel marshmallows, and bacon chocolate to name a few. If you’re in the mood to experiment with flavors, purchase a champagne truffle or a crispy carrot chocolate bar. Vosges chocolates are sold all over the world and have acquired a cult-following. At $40 for 16 pieces, this shop is the epitome of luxury-world chocolates and will call your name for a special occasion or a random indulgence.

5. Insomnia Cookies 

Have you ever wished you could order fresh baked cookies at 3 in the morning? Now you can through Insomnia Cookies. With a unique cookie tracker on their website and online ordering, this new age cookie shop is fulfilling the dreams of millions while adding 5 pounds to every individual introduced to them. Between Belden Avenue and Geneva Tar, this shop isn’t native to Chicago but is an excellent addition to the exciting and vibrant community that is Lincoln Park. Mint chocolate chip is to die for, but you can choose from 9 different flavors only at $1.25 per cookie. If you would like to order a dozen, they’re only a $1 each.
