Wow, can you believe that it is November already? Tis the season to eat yourself into a Turkey coma, decorate the tree, and everyone’s favorite (and dreaded) activity, making New Year’s Eve plans. As usual, I started my month off by saying, “Rabbit Rabbit” immediately after waking up. This is a tradition that my 5th grade teacher instilled in me and I still do to this day. On the first of every month after waking up, the first thing that I say out loud is “Rabbit Rabbit”. In doing so, it will ensure good luck for the rest of the month. It is an Old British Superstition that is still a frequent tradition in English speaking countries. Do I credit this little saying for positive and lucky things that happen during the month? Possibly! I like to believe that it does work after all of these years! November is going to be an exciting and busy month for sure! So take time to actually enjoy the month with friends and family. And maybe a little luck may come your way!

Walking around, peering into the beautifully decorated windows, carrying shopping bags and drinking hot coco, this is a Chicago Tradition and a must see.
Kanye West & Kendrick Lamar
November 9, 2013, United Center
8:30 p.m. $35-$150
Yeezus walks! This is his first solo tour after five years and he is bringing along Mr. Kendrick Lamar, aka a Benz to him is just a car. (Yes I am a Kendrick fan!) Besides from Kanye being a “Rap Genus” and to his credit, he is very good, it is always entertaining to see how he will behave live. Oh and you may be lucky enough to spot Ms. Kardashian West in the audience, since Chicago is his home town!
The Dawson
730 West Grand Ave
West Town
“We’re a restaurant, but we see no separation between food and cocktails,” says Clint Rogers, the general manager of the Dawson. “We’re about pairing food with cocktails
and beer and beer is as much of a focus as the cocktails.” This is one of the most anticipated restaurants of the fall. The menu features American classics and comfort dishes, with a mix of Asian and Latin flavors. The drink menu has dark spirits, with cocktails like Small Axe, made with El Dorado 12-year rum, Appleton VX rum, Smith and Cross rum, Falernum, lime, bitters and a Nardini Amaro float. Bonus: the space is absolutely stunning.
