1. Pack an overnight bag containing all of your essentials
Chances are the night you move in you will not want to unpack everything. So throw your essentials (clothes for the next day and toiletries) for the night in a bag. This way they will be easily accessible when all you really want to do is relax.
2. Label your boxes by what’s in them AND what room they go in 
If you unpack by room, the unpacking process will be so much more manageable. And it will not feel like you are swimming in a room full of boxes and you have no idea what goes where.
3. Show up to your new home (if you can) to clean the kitchen and bathroom
Trust us, after a long day of moving all you want to do is take a nice long shower. You will not want to do this if your bathroom is not cleaned!
